In September 2001 Courier Logistics were awarded the contract to transport hot Sheffield school meals from our export kitchens, in thermoports, to our container meal points, i.e. schools with no means of cooking a hot meal.

To contract this work out to a private company was initially seen as a radical move and the contract was therefore, split between our Sheffield central transport service and Courier Logistics.

However, Courier Logistics proved so successful that within two years they were given the entire contract. Courier Logistics are a very professional company that successfully manages to transport our hot meals, within a particularly tight time frame across Sheffield, overcoming all the obstacles that we at times provide them.

The vehicles used are always clean and well maintained and the drivers are all well managed, personable, and presentable and certainly adapt to support our business.

They will always go the extra mile to help, even during a crisis, every meal arrives on time, and every pupil always receives a meal.

The flood in Sheffield, and the heavy snow certainly proved a particular challenge, but again Courier Logistics managed to ensure that their vehicles delivered the meals as required.

We have an exceptionally good working relationship with senior personnel who are always available to discuss our requirements. All emergencies are also reacted to efficiently and promptly.
