Easter Operating

Courier Logistics will be closed for collections and deliveries on Friday the 10th of April and Monday the 13th of April 2020. Deliveries will be made up until 12 Noon Saturday the 11th of April if they are on a designated premium Saturday service.

APC – Last Despatch Dates For Perishable Goods, Live Fish & Coral.
> Any consignments of a perishable nature: last despatch date will be Tuesday 7th April

> Consignments of live fish and coral: last despatch date Wednesday 8th April.  

Normal Service resumes on Tuesday the 14th of April 2020.

Please note the pre 09:00 service remains suspended. 

Due to social distancing measures in place at present the collect from depot option remains suspended until further notice. Customers are able to rearrange their delivery accordingly.

Coronavirus Update – APC Operational Changes For Live Fish/Coral

In response to the continuing Coronavirus situation APC is making an updated operational change in order to maintain service levels during these unusual circumstances.

Limited Service Re-instated For Live Fish/Coral 

With immediate effect live fish & coral consignments can be sent through the network on a limited basis, these will only permitted to be inputted into the network on a Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Mandatory Contact Details For Pallet Track Deliveries

Due to the current Coronavirus situation, it is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure the correct recipient is available to take delivery.

Businesses understandably will be selective with opening times or are going to be unmanned due to staff shortages and isolation.   

Because of this, it is imperative a full and correct phone number is applied to ALL jobs now moving forward.

Please assist us with providing this important information which will in turn support us to fulfil deliveries as best we can during these difficult times.

Coronavirus Update – APC Operational Changes

In response to the continuing Coronavirus situation APC are making a number of operational changes in order to maintain service levels during these unusual circumstances. These updates will remain in place until further notice and have been made in order to firstly protect the safety and well being of staff and our customers across the country, but also aim to maintain service levels.

Collect From Depot – Option suspended 

Due to social distancing measures in place it has become necessary to limit footfall into depots. APC will therefore be suspending the collect from depot functionality within the network, redeliveries can be arranged but not a collect from depot option.

Suspension of Live Fish/Movement of Bees

With immediate effect APC will no longer be accepting Live fish/bees within the network until further notice. This has been implemented as delays may be experienced in this service.

Suspension of Same Day PURS – next day booking only

To ease the pressure on delivery drivers, APC will be suspending same day PURs, with effect from Wednesday 25th March PURs are for next day collection and not same day action.

Courier Logistics update to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak

Courier Logistics are an important part of the supply chain and are following the government guidance carefully. We have contingency plans in place for the currently known elements of the situation and are monitoring closely for any changes, which we would aim to respond to quickly.

We are seeing great understanding and co-operation from both customers and those at the point of delivery as our drivers continue to adopt the ‘No Contact Delivery Practice for health & safety reasons.

Due to social distancing measures in place at present it has become necessary to restrict the flow of visitors on site. If you are collecting a parcel please ring the bell and post your card through the post box. A member of staff will be with you to assist.

Collect from depot times are Mon to Fri 10:00 – 14:00 only & Saturday 09:00 – 11:00.

Pallet Track – Temporary Amendments To Signature Capture and Customer Paperwork

We continue to actively monitor the rapidly evolving situation regarding Covid-19. The health and well being of all personnel and customers is our priority, therefore in accordance with Government advice, preventative guidance from Public Health England (PHE) and instruction from the Association of Pallet Networks (APN) a revised process is now necessary for signature capture. This will apply to Electronic Devices, Printed Schedules and Customer Own Paperwork to help prevent further spread of this infection. 

With immediate effect the following process will be adopted by all depots and remain active until further notice. 

Customer Own Paperwork

· Signatures will NO LONGER be obtained on Customer Own Paperwork.

· If the consignee requires a copy of any documentation this must be affixed to Pallet Number 1 of the consignment. Note: this will not be removed by the delivery driver, a SIGNATURE WILL NOT BE OBTAINED. 

THE NETWORK WILL NO LONGER PROCESS CUSTOMER PAPERWORK 

Signature on EDC Device or Printed Schedule

· Consignee Signatures will NO LONGER be obtained on any Electronic Device or Printed Schedule.

· THE DRIVER WILL annotate on the EDC Device/Printed Schedule CV-19 and the customer surname.

Coronavirus- Service Continuity Within The APC Network

Temporary Suspension of The 0900 Timed Service Options

In repsonse to the continuing Coronavirus situation APC have been planning and putting in place service continuity measures that firstly protect the safety and wellbeing of staff and our customers across the country but also aim to maintain service levels.

We have therefore made the decision to temporarily suspend all options on the pre 0900 service for all new bookings effective from Wednesday 18th March. We have made this decision to allow our drivers adequate time to carry out deliveries safely with the additional measures in place. We will continue to assess the risks and pressures on the network and should further changes be required in order to maintain the delivery process we will advise.
